As its customary at this time of year we have a short weekend break in The Lakes (Mary’s birthday treat for the two of us) to have a bit of a walk, eat some great food, drink some wine and generally relax for a couple of days.
A bit of a different scenario this year however (no long and strenuous walks or afternoons in the pub) as we will be getting a new member to our little family in May as little baby Zebedee will be putting in an appearance and we can’t wait, as you can imagine Christmas and Birthday pressies comprised of various cool and cute baby grows, prams and the like, along with “Dog” our first new addition to the family.

We stayed at a lovely little B&B, Hillsdale in Ambleside, which suffered from a power cut so no full English on Saturday morning
and had horrible weather for the full weekend, we also had the obligatory visit to Lakeland Plastics, Mary’s favorite pastime when visiting the Lakes!! but still managed to have an awesome weekend, thanks hunny, can’t wait for next January now, and we can do it all as a threesome.
