Vanya & Mike’s Wedding at The Low Wood, Ambleside

I’ve known Mike for years so when he told us that he and Vanya were getting married, we were absolutely thrilled for them . . . and even more excited when they asked us to photograph their big day!

They are the best! Mike’s the nicest fella you could ever meet and Vanya, well, Vanya makes him smile (and keeps him out of trouble!) so that makes her an absolute star in our eyes

They married at The Low Wood Bay Hotel with the idyllic backdrop of Lake Windermere which meant a long trip for their friends and family from as far afield as Norway, Australia, Derby and even Manchester! It made for a great weekend with a truly fantastic group of people and no-one would have missed the opportunity to celebrate their special day with them. The whole day was filled with laughter, a few tears and some beautiful little details (we particularly loved the personalised hangers that Vanya had for her and her bridesmaid dresses) and amazing live music from Lauren Housley which had everyone dancing the evening away.
